Drawing and Painting Spring 2025

Another quarterly art update after Winter 2025. Been a little more active this quarter. I've got Landscapes, Emotions, Collages plus Bits & Pieces.

Landscapes

One thing I've always preferred is drawing landscapes to people. And recently I've started drawing more landscapes again from photos I've taken.

None of them were a labour of many hours. They're from photos and done mostly during our Porto Painting meetups. But there's a style emerging and it's good to have something to aim for.

And that aim is to do more landscapes in the long term. To learn some of the techniques for doing landscapes in watercolour (or other painting styles) and put the into use outdoors or in.

Emotions

Since starting to paint, I've often done bursts of colour and patterns with no purpose. Beyond clearing my head, to warm up, when unsure what else to do or to use up paint.

Now I'm doing a series trying to express emotions. These can only be done when feeling this emotion and also in a position to paint!
