It's Lodger Time Again

It's Lodger Time Again

Time for another large life change.

Lodgers in the UK

Lodgers in the UK are a tax-efficient way of renting out a room. You pay no tax on the first £7,500 each year on lodgers (people who rent a room in your main residence). Many are horrified at having someone else live in their house, but for me it was the norm for about 20 years!

Time to Do It Again

Over Covid I got used to having a flat to myself (and a lodger for part of it) and then this continued in Portugal. It's nice to have your own space, but equally sometimes having someone else around can also enhance things.

So after a year back in the UK, it's time to do it again. Mostly for financial reasons, but also having someone else in the flat force me out of it. Which is what I need right now.

Finding someone who doesn't have drama or annoy you is the most important traits for me, so hopefully things work out well!

Finishing Up

Mostly just a short post to get back to a personal blog routine!
