New Horizons

And So...Portugal!

Devon to Porto

I am now the proud owner of a Visa for Portugal.

One of the "benefits" of Brexit is that UK citizens can only spend 90 days of every 6 months in the Schengen Zone (an area of 26 European countries without internal travel restrictions). Before we could travel freely.

But there are several EU countries which make it easier to get Visas to live, work or retire work there. Many of them are temporary for several months or a year.

The Portugal D7 Visa potentially allows for citizenship after 5 years.

Porto

So I will be meeting new people, discussing ideas and honing creativity in the city of Porto. Oh and dancing.

Whether it's for a few months or longer, we will see.

No doubt there will be blog references to Portuguese lifestyle and missing British weather. And possibly articles in Portuguese too.

Finishing Up

My mind is occupied by thoughts of Ukraine and Portugal at the moment to write anything worthwhile currently!
