Painting and Drawing Summer 2026

Painting and Drawing Summer 2026

I've had a busier summer with a bit more creating than some quarters!

Continuing the Train Ticket Collages

I powered on with more train tickets, doing a large complex mountain rain scene.

And also trying to reproduce a former painting of three trees (Three Sisters of Budleigh).

Seagull on a Postbox

The standout creation of the summer appears to be Seagull on a Postbox, continuing the train ticket collages. I felt I got a better use of the different colours available and they match the theme.

Seaside Scene

My 5th annual walk from to Vila de Conde to Matosinhos (in Portugal) resulted in a sea photo I painted up and quite enjoyed.

Creative Trip to Dawlish

Last was an Exe Painters and Sketchers trip to Dawlish. I was good to meet some new artists and draw new scenes somewhere else in Devon.

I've started trying to use anything but watercolours so this is using colourful pens...

Finishing Up

That's it for now, but I do have new acrylic pens which I'm enjoying.
